How to Become the Calmest One in the Room During a Crisis
You can immediately recognize who the leader is in the room when a crisis hits.
They’re the one with a blank stare, calculating eyes and an err of calm around them.
The leader recognizes that freaking out or stressing doesn’t get anyone closer to a resolution.
So, how do you become the calmest one in the room.
First, you need to learn to step back from the situation.
The next time an emotional crisis hits or you feel an anxiety attack coming on, take a step back.
Pretend like this panic attack is happening to your best friend and not you.
Would you freak out? Would you start crying? Or would you try and console them and calm them down?
This simple act of imagining that your crisis is happening to a friend is a great way to step back from a situation.
Once you step back, you’ll recognize that things aren’t as bad as they seem.
You’re one step closer to becoming the calmest person in the room.
Stay Strong.
