On Making a Change
In life and business there’s no such thing as getting ahead of people on the ladder. That’s because this existence is a continuum not a competition.
If you want to pause your top performing sales career to pursue disc golf, it’s okay to take an aggressive cut in pay to do what you enjoy.
The same goes for school. Don’t be intimidated by the twenty somethings in your graduate classes if you’re in your mid thirties. Everyone progresses at their own pace.
It’s important to put a focus on your own joy even if it means starting from scratch. You’re not giving up a six figure salary and, if it comes down to it, you can always go back to doing that job if you need to.
You’re not here to impress others or meet your parent’s expectations. You’re here to make the most of this life. Don’t be afraid to make a change.
